Some will say -"Use ctrl+w", sure, that works and sometimes I do so (mostly when in window mode), but I prefer using my mouse, that's all there is to it! I feel it to be so much damn faster!If I want to close the whole browser, I don't mind clicking 3 or 4 times to close the tabs otherwise I just use the additional x button which I placed directly below the red one.I went to Firefox 4, but I switched strait back when I realized that this plug-in wasn't compatible. I no longer have to aim the little x and move the mouse towards each tab I want to close, which is the most annoying thing I can possibly think of doing in a browser (well, that, and change a proxy manually). Fast Close Tab lets me close tabs with one large swipe across the screen without *EVER* missing my target. Out of the 28 plug-ins I use, Fast Close Tab is one of the most fundamental plug-in in my setup - I simply could not imagine what I'd do without it! I'm a fast clicker and I have a very sensitive mouse. This user has a previous review of this add-on. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.1-signed). But I installed Exit Button and that seems to serve the same purpose and makes a pretty good combo with this. I searched and searched for your off button and I think I found it - an itty bitty x maybe? I dragged it toward the bar and it dissapeared about halfway there never to be seen again. I hope the Mozilla folks will think about trying it although it may be kind of radical for them - it's called text. There is this really neat technology that has the potential to dramatically improve the usability of UIs. And just to make the game more challenging the pictures are all very, very pale grayish pastels on a light gray background. A gazillion little pictures to guess about the meaning of.
